Angewandte Chemie publishes short Q&A about junior scientist that get their first paper as corresponding authors
Angewandte Chemie has recently launched a program to give more visibility to the junior researchers who publish their first paper as corresponding author.
How do they plan to do that?
With an interview, or more specifically, a Q&A to give the readership a better grasp of who you are. For instance, aswering question about your plans for the future, what is your favourite music, etc. In a way, it is like talking to the researcher in a coffee shop, to know the person behind the scientist. And, you know, there is actual people behind the labcoat :D, and chemistry geeks. If you want to read the Q&A, be my guest and check it here.

In my case, I was invited because of a very recent paper we got published in Angewandte Chemie from my postdoctoral stage at EPFL, where we elucidated the atomic nature of the reactive sites and the surface energy traps that govern the solar-to-hydrogen conversion in photocathodes of Cu(InGa)S2. I like this work because it intertwines the experience we have at the laboratory of Prof. Sivula (LIMNO) in the synthesis of novel materials with that on computational modelling to simulate the reactive interface at the laboratory of Prof. Aschauer at Bern.
